Declaration on barrier-free accessibility
The Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz endeavours to ensure an extensive barrier-free access by optimisuing their web sites. Legal bases are the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG) as well as the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0).
Therefore, we carried out a manual test (BITV-Test), developed by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), and it did not detect any serious deficiencies.
Compatibility with the requirements
This website is still being constructed. The preliminary BITV Test relating to the functional parts and the design identified various technical problems and shortcomings that make it difficult to have a barrier-free use of the website. They are recorded in the test’s listing and will be fixed step by step. It has not yet been possible to comprehensively check the barrier-free accessibility of documents provided for download. The barrier-free access is not guaranteed.
This declaration was produced on 08.07.2021.
