Dieses Dossier ist das Ergebnis einer Tagung der Prof. Dr. Frithjof Voss Stiftung am 26. und 27. September 2008 in der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. Ziel dieser Veranstaltung war es, auf die Macht von Karten aufmerksam zu machen und zugleich für eine intensivere Vermittlung von Kompetenzen im Umgang mit diesem Medium zu plädieren.

This dossier is the result of a conference held by the Prof. Dr. Frithjof Voss Foundation on September 26 and 27, 2008 at the Berlin State Library. The aim of this event was to draw attention to the power of maps and at the same time to plead for more intensive teaching of skills in using this medium.
